What: The first ever Strange Charlotte Fringe Festival (A Queen City Comedy Experience)
When: Charlotte October 23-26
Where: The Arts Factory near Uptown Charlotte
Who: Strange Charlotte wants YOU- the dreamers, schemers, stage creatures, and comedy oddballs.
This off-beat offering is a part of The Queen City Comedy Experience, Charlotte's premier celebration of performers. Like previous years - we'll have workshops, jams and after parties as well.
Got a show that’s bold, bizarre, spooky, hilarious, or just… unclassifiable? We want it. Stand-up, improv, sketch, theatre, dance, clown, storytelling, puppets — if it can make an audience laugh, gasp, or question reality, it belongs here.
This one-of-a-kind event will highlight local (and regional/national) acts. We'll be showcasing great TALENT, celebrating QUALITY work, building on our great COMMUNITY of performers, and making AWESOME artfor everyone! There will be a select group of less than 20 acts chosen to perform in 2025. Performance time slots will vary.
Submission fee is $30. Early bird submission fee is $20. Deadline for submission is August 31. The review process for submissions includes third-party auditors from outside the Carolinas, ensuring an unbiased evaluation. This transparency will ensure the best quality shows.
