Queen City Comedy

Queen City Comedy is thrilled to present this workshop with Billy Merritt based on the book Pirate Robot Ninja: An Improv Fable! This class will help you take charge of your own journey.

• Are you too analytical in your approach to improv? Robot.
• Are you too impulsive in your approach to improv? Pirate.
• What you want to be is balanced between the two. Ninja.

This class will help define where your approach comes from, how to strengthen that approach and then work on your perceived weaknesses.

Who is Billy Merritt?

Billy Merritt has been a performer, teacher, and director with the UCB Theatre since it first opened in New York. He is a founding member of improv groups The Swarm, and The Stepfathers in New York, and The Smokes in Los Angeles. As a teacher Billy has developed many improvised longform shows. Such as, The Documentary, Improvised One Acts, The Ninja, Murder Murder, Robot Theatre, and the Holiday Spectacular.

Produced by Queen City Comedy in partnership with The Comedy Zone and Blumenthal Arts, this one-of-a-kind event will highlight local and national acts from a wide variety of comedy genres.
